How Much Does House Cleaning Cost in Dhaka? An Honest Answer

What actually drives the price of home cleaning in Dhaka, why online calculators get it wrong, and how to compare two quotations fairly.

This is the question everyone asks first and almost nobody answers straight. Here is the honest version: nobody can tell you what cleaning your home costs without knowing several things about it — and any company that quotes before asking is either guessing or planning to revise the figure later.

The six factors that actually move the price

  1. Floor area and room count. The single biggest driver. Bathrooms weigh more heavily than bedrooms because they take longer per square foot than any other room.
  2. Condition. A flat cleaned monthly and a flat that has not had a deep clean in three years are completely different jobs at the same square footage.
  3. Scope. Cabinet interiors, appliance interiors, balconies, window channels and inside-glass work each add real hours. Two quotations can differ by half simply because one silently excludes these.
  4. Materials. Marble, mosaic and imported fittings need specialist chemicals and slower methods. Getting this wrong permanently damages the floor, so it is not a corner worth cutting.
  5. Access. Sixth floor with no lift, no parking within a hundred metres, or water disconnected — all of these change how much equipment can be brought and how long the job takes.
  6. Frequency. A regular schedule costs less per visit than a one-off, because the property never falls far enough behind to need rescuing.

Why online price calculators mislead

A calculator asks for bedrooms and bathrooms because those are the only two things it can ask without losing you. It cannot see the kitchen chimney, the limescale, the marble or the sixth-floor walk-up. The resulting number is accurate for a minority of homes and wrong for the rest — and the correction always happens in one direction, after you are committed.

How to compare two quotations fairly

Put them side by side and compare scope line by line, not totals. Ask each company these four questions:

  • Are cabinet and appliance interiors included, or extra?
  • Are windows, channels, grills and balconies included?
  • How many people, for how many hours?
  • What happens to the price if the job takes longer than expected?

Nine times out of ten a cheaper quotation turns out to be a smaller scope, a smaller team, or both. That may be exactly what you want — just make it a decision rather than a surprise.

Ways to genuinely reduce what you pay

  • Combine jobs. Sofa, mattress and carpet cleaning on one visit costs less than three appointments.
  • Reset, then maintain. One deep clean followed by a fortnightly or monthly schedule is cheaper over a year than repeated emergency deep cleans.
  • Avoid the peaks. The fortnight before Eid and the winter wedding season are the busiest windows of the year.
  • Be honest about scope. A good company will happily quote a narrower scope. Say what you actually need.
  • Prepare the property. Clearing clutter and emptying cabinets before the team arrives converts paid time into cleaning rather than tidying.

What a fair quotation looks like

It is written. It lists line items, not one lump figure. It states the team size and the expected duration. It has a validity period. It says what is excluded. And it commits that the price will not change unless the site is materially different from what you described — with your agreement, before the work continues rather than after it finishes.

Getting a price for your home

Send us the flat size, the number of bathrooms, roughly how long since the last deep clean, and a couple of photographs of the kitchen and bathrooms. You will have a written quotation the same day, and it commits you to nothing.

Questions about this topic

We will, once we know enough to give you a number we can honour. That normally takes three or four questions. What we will not do is quote before knowing the property and then revise it upward when the team is already inside.
Not always, but a much lower price almost always means a smaller scope or a smaller team. Compare the written scope line by line and the difference usually explains itself.
